December 20 – Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service

Open Doors will hold a short service at 7:00pm on Friday, December 20 outside Open Doors’ Smilow Life Center to read the names of the clients and former clients who have passed away this year. Please join us in remembrance.

At these events, we remember those who have died and we strengthen our resolve to work for a world where no life is lived or lost in homelessness. We state clearly, together with others in scores of communities across our nation, that no person should die for lack of housing.

December 21st, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, has been declared National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. Open Doors will join with groups across the United States to remember those we’ve lost.

Please RSVP to Erin at or 203-866-1057 x129.
